SPEED BALL ZONAL COMPETITION

On 1st September,2018 i.e Saturday, Delhi City School organized the Zonal Speed ball competition. Eminent dignitaries of the event were Mr.Parveen Solanki( Asiad Silver medalist in weight lifting) , Mrs. Satwant Kaur, S.P.E. Directorate- of Education, Zone 13. Mrs. Sunita Kundu, girls Secretary D.O.E, Zone 13, Mr. Avdesh, Boys Secretary, D.O.E, Zone 13 etc. The event was presided over by Principal Dr. Neeta Kohli. The Principal expressed her gratitude to the administration for giving the school an opportunity for hosting the event. She welcomed the dignitaries, teachers and the participants. She encouraged the participants with her valuable words and wished them good luck.

Around 100 students from different schools of Zone 13 participated in the Zonal Speedball competition.

Students of Delhi City School brought laurels to the school. Delhi City School bagged overall first position, Championship trophy in senior girls category and also bagged overall second position championship trophy in senior boys category. The entire event was covered by the channel “LOKTANTRA” T.V.The competition culminated with the award ceremony where in the winners were felicitated and awarded trophies, medals and certificates. The vote of thanks was given to all dignitaries, teachers and the participants for their support to make the event a great success.

Delhi City School, Sec-8, Rohini, Delhi Witnessed an eventful and rewarding session 2017-18 in Top Sports and Games arena. Students participated in zonal, state , National and International Level competitions in different sports and brought laurels to the school.

Two of our students, Shivali Sharma and Rooheen Khan were a part of the Delhi team, that won gold medal at National Level speed ball competition 2017-18 organized by Directorate of Education. Arshit Lamba of class xii won gold medal in Floor ball competition at National Level 2017-18, organized by SGFI( School Games Federatio of India).

Zonal Speed ball competition 2017-18 was organized in the school premises. The senior girls team of DCS secured first position and the second position was secured by the senior boys team of DCS.

Our principal , Dr. Shipra Kumar while addressing the students, said for the overall development of the individual, It is very important to have co-curricular and extra curricular activities. She appreciated, motivated and congratulated the students and blessed them for their bright future.
